Mercy

İbrahim Tarla was born in 1995 in Yüksekova, Hakkari. After completing his primary and secondary education locally, he attended Hakkari Science High School for a year before graduating from Anatolian High School in Yüksekova. In 2013, he began studying Computer Engineering at Istanbul Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, earning his degree there. His literary journey started in his early university years with poetry and essays. Influenced by Marquis de Sade and Yaşar Kemal, he soon began writing short stories. He currently works as a Software Developer at a global company. "The pleasure he felt as he strayed into evil would not quench the heart soon to writhe in pain.. At some point in life - and for some, throughout their entire existence - we search for a savior. A chance, a loyal friend, a beautiful woman... We are always waiting for a turning point, unaware of where it will lead us or what awaits us there. As children, we seek it in a mother's milk; in youth, in love; in old age, in the care of another... Every cry for help carries within it a seed of helplessness. Feyruze, who feels the despair of her land down to her very bones; Kader, crushed beneath her own innocence and the inevitability of her fate; Seyran, torn apart by longing and surrendering to the helplessness of her desires; and Salih, who cannot find himself even in the mirror... This is the story of what they hope to find in Mercy.
